What's in it, and how we label it.
If you've ever stood in the aisle Googling an ingredient list, this page is for you.
1. The full ingredient list, on every product page.
Each hair-care product page shows its full ingredient list (the INCI list), in order from most to least. When a product contains fragrance, it appears as "Fragrance (Parfum)," as US labeling rules allow, and known fragrance allergens, like linalool, are listed by name.
2. Scent, called out up front.
Every product page has a Scent section that tells you if it contains fragrance or essential oils, before you scroll.
3. No buzzwords. Just the label.
We don't lean on vague labels or slogans. We tell you specifically what's in each product and let you decide.
4. Plant-derived doesn't automatically mean right for you.
Plant oils and extracts can irritate skin too, and some come from nuts. That's why each product page names its allergens and asks you to patch test first: apply a small amount to your inner forearm and wait 24 hours. If you notice redness, itching or irritation, don't use it, and tell us.
5. Honest claims.
Each product page says what that product is made to do, in cosmetic terms: cleanse, condition, moisturize, define, add slip and shine. That's all we claim. These are cosmetics, not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease. If your scalp or hair is changing in a way that worries you, please see a dermatologist.
6. Made by a partner, labeled by us.
Our products are made by a cosmetics manufacturer, with our label on them. We write every product page ourselves, we only make cosmetic claims, and we tell you which textures each product suits best.
7. Questions, or had a reaction?
Email us at [Twirlula support email coming soon] or use our contact page. If you've had a reaction to one of our products, stop using it and tell us. We read every report and keep a record of it.
